Statement of the problem: One of the important problems of municipalities all over the world is to earn stable income to cover the costs of municipal services. The excessive reliance of many municipalities on unstable incomes has made them face many problems. Studying the sustainable incomes of municipalities in developed countries and using the experiences of other cities can to some extent solve the problems of Tabriz metropolis.

Continuing the process of revenue generation from collection of tolls and sale of density without paying attention to the long-term consequences will cause the municipality to look at the citizens as a tool and neglect to earn productive and stimulating income.

Research goals: The main goal is to provide scientific and practical solutions to provide sustainable financial resources for metropolitan municipalities and to achieve the goals of sustainable urban development, and the special goals of the research are to identify and analyze the current situation of financial and income resources of municipalities, to review and evaluate the sustainable financial resources of municipalities from Through searching in documentary-library sources and identifying and proposing new and operational sustainable income sources for Tabriz municipality, measuring the abilities, weaknesses, opportunities and threats for Tabriz city to obtain sustainable financial resources and presenting a management plan that fits the facilities and capacities of the municipality has been proposed. .

Research method: The current research method is applied and descriptive-analytical in terms of its method.

Findings and results: In this research, the plan to organize the existing incomes in the municipality of Tabriz metropolis has been presented in the form of SWOT analysis technique and scientific and practical solutions and suggestions have been identified for providing sustainable financial resources.
